Killzone: Shadow Fall
Could you tell us more about the Helghast art piece and the inspiration behind it?††
The Idea was to show Helghast technology taking over Vekta city. Helghast design language was quite a challenge at first, luckily I had great teachers. Inspiration was everywhere in the studio.†
What are some of your favorite general art pieces that you use as inspiration?
I try not to use other artist works for inspiration any more. Going through my photo library works better. Although, Sparth is hard to ignore.
What are your favorite games either from an artistic perspective or just for fun?†
Mirror's Edge has really nice art direction. And I played Carmageddon a lot, that was fun.
Could you tell us more about your journey in how you got involved in the gaming industry and your current position?
The journey had a long start. I wasn't even sure what I was doing or where I was going. I just wanted to be as awesome as Craig Mullins. Well...after many years of failing I started to find my own ways, made my own portfolio and eventually got my foot in the door. Right now Iím open for new challenges.
Do you have any fun/random facts about any of the games/art pieces you've worked on that others may not know of?
I painted the first graffiti in my home village. After almost 20 years It's still there.
